Magic: the Gathering - Pauper Cube Draft IV - 23 Nov 2026
Available in stock (16)
In lieu of a full draft because it's the holiday season, we'll be workshopping a cube night!
What is a cube draft?
A cube draft involves the creation of a cube, which is basically a custom magic set built from existing cards. The builder of the cube typically chooses a theme, then builds a pool of cards that can then be separated into "packs" and drafted like regular Limited. It is typically a singleton format without rarity.
So what's this event?
The usual host, Matty, will be bringing a pauper cube to showcase. There may be other cubes in the building, so players can split into pods. The idea is to decide if regular cube drafts would be worth doing with any sort of regularity, or if they're too much of a hassle to coordinate.
Players will be dealt three piles of fifteen cards from the cube, then use those as "packs" to draft in a pod.
Prize Support
Everyone gets a random pack from the Chaos Box for participating. There are no prizes for winning or anything this time. If we can figure out how to make the cube work with a full group of people (either through building a larger cube or additional cubes running concurrently, we'll introduce prizing).
Entry is $5 to cover participation packs and table fees.
